    El próximo día 2 de mayo, domingo, a partir de las 15.00 horas, con salida desde L´Acora (Castellón), se celebrará una nueva edición de la clásica “Carlos Cabrera Cervera”, que llega a su VI edición y que cuenta con la organización del Club Ciclista Alcora y la inestimable colaboración del que fuera director de aquel equipo presidido por este alcorino y que fue Cerámicas Cabrera, Pepe Escrig.

    La clásica Carlos Cabrera cambia de sábado a domingo debido a que el primero de mayo se celebra otra prueba ciclista correspondiente a la Copa de España en la localidad de Santa Cruz de Legazpi, en el País Vasco y algunos equipos que pueden estar en Alcora lo harán en esta prueba.

    MAS DE 120 CORREDORES CON GRAN PROYECCIÓN.

     La organización de esta prueba está realizando diferentes contactos con equipos ya se puede decir que habrá una nutrida representación del Hierros agüera de Cartagena, Inverse (Murcia), Café Max (Alcoy), Universidad Politécnica, Valencia Terra i Mar (Valencia), Azysa (Navarra), Viveros Alcanar Vitaldent y Ayuntamiento de Tarragona, Santa Eulalia (Barcelona), un equipo de Lérida, Lokomotiv y los representantes provinciales Cerámicas Onda, Peña Ciclista Benicásim-Seat Michavila y la Unión Ciclista Vall de Uxó, lo que conllevará que en línea de salida hay mas de ciento veinte corredores, que no superarán la participación de 2009 que llegó a 160 corredores, pero para la organización será todo un éxito si se consigue esta participación.

    El recorrido de esta clásica Carlos Cabrera Cervera variará muy poco del que se realizó el pasado año, con salida y llegada como es habitual en la Pza. de España de Alcora, con un total de 130 kilómetros de recorrido, con dos cotas puntuales el Coll de la Bassa de 2ª categoría y el de Costur de 3ª, ambos en la mitad del recorrido, aunque "es un kilometraje muy sinuoso un auténtico rompepiernas, que puede afectar a los corredores, sobre todo si se impone un fuerte ritmo desde la línea de salida" comenta Pepe Escrig.

    Los ganadores del año 2009-Ibón Zugasti y su equipo el Azysa; seguramente volverán este año. Participantes de otras ediciones, son ciclistas que como Pachecoi que hoy corre con Xacobeo Galicia y recientemente participó en la Vuelta a Turquía o Igualtief y Climof otros corredores del equipo Ruso, que participaron en el Tour 2009 con el equipo Catuska, muestran el alto nivel de la prueba.

    Organizado por el Club Ciclista Alcora, colaboran: la Generalitat Valenciana, Diputación Provincial, Ayuntamiento de L´Alcora, Caja Rural y Ceracasa entre otras entidades y firmas comerciales. La carrera será puntuable para la CHALLENGE AUTONOMICA.
