El CLUB DEPORTIVO LOGROÑÉS Juega el ascenso a Primera División
La primera vez que un equipo de La Rioja juega el ascenso a la Primera División del fútbol nacional es en la temporada de 1952. Para recordarlo hemos elaborada esta animación.

El fútbol hasta 1952

Generalidades

El primer momento de gloria del fútbol logroñés coincide con los finales de los "Felices Años Veinte" y los primeros de la IIª República. Y es que el Club Deportivo Logroño obtiene en 1928 el subcampeonato de la Federación Guipuzcoana de Fútbol. Y su papel en el Campeonato de España en 1931 es tan destacado como para llegar a las semifinales, siendo eliminado por el que fue campeón -el Athletic de Bilbao-; así como lo fue también en las temporadas anteriores a la organización nacional de la Liga.

La segunda etapa corresponde con los años iniciales de mediados del siglo, cuando juega la liguilla de ascenso a la primera división nacional en el año 1952. Queda el penúltimo clasificado y no asciende.
