Enero 18 de 2010. Bogotá. La Organización de las Naciones Unidas le ha dado una excelente noticia a Colombia, al revelar esta semana un nuevo reporte mundial de Gobierno Electrónico. Colombia se ubicó como el país más avanzado en América Latina y el Caribe. Pasó del puesto 7 al 1 en la región y del 52 al 31 en el mundo, mejorando en 21 posiciones frente a la medición anterior.

Octubre 16 de 2009. Como cada año, se realizó la noche de premiación a los mejores portales del país en el Club El Nogal, en Bogotá. Este es uno de los reconocimientos que se dan a nivel nacional, para exaltar la labor de los desarrolladores colombianos de páginas web. Carné del Sisbén se puede imprimir por Internet.

Enero 27 de 2009. Habitantes de Santa Marta y Sincelejo pueden obtener su carné del Sisbén por Internet. Con este servicio se benefician 527.476 personas de las dos ciudades.

El servicio ha sido implementado por el Programa Gobierno en línea Territorial del Ministerio de Comunicaciones de Colombia y con éste se evita el desplazamiento de los habitantes hasta las Alcaldías para obtener el documento que los identifica como afiliados al Sisbén.
