The Visual checking option helps to perform the review of the web page. When this option is selected, a new Web browser, where the Web page analysed is displayed, will be opened with the following modifications:
- A header is inserted with the following information: checkpoint, the elements highlighted (to be checked by the person who is performing the analysis), and the number of highlighted elements.
- In the Web page, the elements are highlighted using a different background colour and applying a border.
- For the highlighted elements, the label name with the attributes related to that checkpoint, is displayed. E.g.: In the validation of the alternative texts for images, the attributes alt and longdes will be displayed.
To display the visual checking, access the Visual checking option from the checkpoint contextual menu.
Through the Checklist option, located at the Checkpoint menu, it is possible to perform the visual checking on the checkpoints that TAW considers valid or not applicable.
