2.3. Analyser
Each "analyser" tab provides the following information:
1. Analysis scope. 2. Action buttons. 3. Analyser settings. 4.Analysis result. 5. Source code of the Web page analysed. 6. Status bar.
The analysis scope is defined at the top of the analyser, with the following parameters:
- initial URL,
- type of links to follow (relation between the links to analyse),
- maximum number of levels to follow, and
- the maximum number of pages to be analysed.
There are a set of buttons organized in two groups and located at the sides of the tab.
- The group at the left is composed by the analyser action buttons:
Start,
Refresh,
Stop and
Pause.
- The group at the right, under the header Analyser settings, controls the analyser settings. Through the
Reports button, you can access the setting parameters in relation to reports. The
Pause button allows to select the checkpoints to be checked in the analysis.
In the middle, the result of the analysis is shown inside tabs.
- In the first tab, called Summary, the number of issues found during the analysis for each page is displayed.
- The rest of the tabs, called Priority tabs, have details about the issues found in the web page selected at the summary table in relation to the priorities established by Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0 (WCAG 1.0).
At the bottom of the analyser, there is a status bar with the following information:
- Analyser name.
- A guideline level indicator used in the analysis. It shows A, AA, AAA, Customized, in accordance with the analysis level established.
- At the right, there is a sign with the status Modified. If there are changes in the project that have not been saved, the sign MOD will be in black; and the sign MOD will be in grey, if there are no changes since the project was saved last time.
For each analyser, there is a contextual menu with the following options:
- Close: Closes the analyser selected. This option closes the analyser in the same way that the Close Button does it.
- Close others: Closes all analysers except the analyser selected.
- Close all: Closes all analysers.
-
Rename analyser: Changes the name of the analyser. By default, the name of the analyser is Analyser X, where X is a number. By renaming the tab, for example with the name of the web domain analysed, it is easier to distinguish between the different analysers opened.
